Writers Tips

Writers tips is a course that answers questions that you may not even know that you had about writing and editing your book. It is designed to make writing your book easier and stress free. My objective is to provide you with practical help which you would expect from a book coach. I want to help you to be more productive, using tools you already own. To start and keep writing, learn to love editing, how to engage better with your reader and get that book finished.

How does it work?

I have collated questions from my writing students and put together a series of answers to those questions. These are in the course, grouped together by subject area.

You will learn how to:

  • Set up WORD so that it becomes your friend and you create better books with a tool that you know.
  • Be more productive
  • How to be a better editor and learn to love editing
  • How to connect and engage with your reader

Over to you

Every time you ask a question, I will create a new module for you and in that way, this community will grow and everyone will learn.

What would you like to know?

Who is the target audience?
  • Non fiction writers
  • Writers who want to learn how to get to grips with all of the niggly things

Having a structure to write to really helps create a good flow in our writing.  I like to start my chapters with a question or questions that I intend to answer. Followed by sections what, why, how and what if.

We usually start with such good intention and end up going off track.  This module looks at how you can use that structure to bring the flow back and to check that you are answering that chapters question(s).
Using a What, why, how and what if structure

In this module, we look at simple things like spelling and the thesaurus
Words, spelling and thesaurus

Reminder to put your personal stories in to each chapter and to remember that they need to be in context and for you to close the loop, i.e. if you start a story remember to end it.

And if you are putting exercises together, test, test, your steps.

Getting a copy of your 'real' book in your hands is not only a great feeling, it gives you an opportunity to read your book as a reader would. You will really get to grips with how you want the finished product to look like once you do this.

Despite the cost, this is a brilliant way to proof your book and get it right.

Personal Brand Alchemist

Everyone is unique. Everyone has their own voice and stories with which they can make an impact on the world.

I work with my clients to help them to reconnect to their stories and take control of their identity, so that they can be seen as an expert and authority in their field.

We work together to enable you to fly.

My experience as a coach (journaling, writing, books, executive), trainer (personal development and writing), strategist (personal branding and marketing), nutritionist and as a human who has experienced her fair share of stuff creates a powerful combination of knowledge, skills and experiences with which to support you.

How will we do ‘it’?

This is an exploration with no set rules or guidelines. We will be tapping into your inner wisdom to discover what needs to be known. From there strategies and plans can be made, outcomes sought and actions taken.

You may want to write a book or a blog, build a coaching program, run a retreat, build an online school, so that you can demonstrate your expertise. You may want a sounding board for your personal brand strategy. You may want to improve your health. Whatever you come with, these are like your doctor might say, your presenting symptoms. What lies beneath is what needs to surface so that you find the stories and inspirational message to share.

My Udemy courses

I adore working with inspirational, enthusiastic, energetic people with strong messages. People who want to make a difference. I would love to become part of your onward journey, the one that sees you finding your voice, becoming the best version of you and rocking that out to the world.

My passion is helping you to discover the stories inside of you, and help you to share these so that you can leave your legacy, heal, share your inspirational message, have fun, and build a personal brand that really rocks.

I am an expert at getting your story out, and really finding the essence of what you want to say. And then saying it so that it is engaging and makes an impact.

I have a background in professional training, executive coaching and personal branding and I additionally combine these skills to facilitate this journey.

So who am I?

I have been described in many ways - enthusiastic, high energy, inspirational, motivation and fun. I have also been described as beautifully eccentric, which I do indeed take as a compliment. What you get is what you see. What I want for you, is to own who you are and to share your gifts with the world.

In between drinking white tea, experimenting with recipes and walking the the loves of my life - Ferdy dog, Marley Moo & Angel, I can be found writing. And I do a bit of abstract arty stuff with wire and wool.
