Hi, I’m Dr. Ojas Joshi — a singer, performer, entrepreneur, and music educator with a deep passion for Indian classical music and practical vocal training.
I began my musical journey at the age of seven with formal training in Indian Classical Music at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Mumbai, where I earned my Sangeet Visharad certification. Alongside vocal music, I also developed proficiency in guitar and piano, helping me build a versatile understanding of both classical and contemporary music styles.
At the age of 21, I moved to New York for my Master’s studies, where I trained under Pt. Kinnar Seen and was exposed to diverse global musical influences. This experience helped shape my approach toward music learning — blending the depth of Indian classical traditions with practical, modern-day application.
Over the years, I have performed across India and the United States at platforms including TEDx, Kala Ghoda Festival, National Stock Exchange events, Blue Frog, and The Hive. My music has crossed 500,000+ streams across digital platforms and has also been featured in publications such as The Times of India and Mid-Day.
Apart from music, I also hold a PhD in Pharmacy and serve as Director of a pharmaceutical manufacturing company. My academic and professional background has helped me bring a structured, practical, and simplified approach to music education.
I am also the founder of Music Jammin’, a growing musical community that has connected thousands of music enthusiasts through live experiences, jam sessions, and collaborative learning.
Through my courses, my goal is to help students:
build a strong musical foundation,
improve their riyaz and vocal practice,
understand ragas in a simplified manner,
develop confidence in singing,
and create a deeper connection with music through practical learning methods.
Whether you are a beginner starting your musical journey or someone looking to strengthen your understanding of Indian music, I hope these courses help you learn with clarity, consistency, and enjoyment.
