About me
I am the creator of the education-focused YouTube channel Hebert Engineering, a growing engineering education platform with over 70,000 subscribers. Through this channel, I teach foundational and advanced engineering concepts with a focus on clarity, intuition, and deep conceptual understanding.
I hold both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and I am currently completing my PhD in Mechanical Engineering, which I expect to finish within the next year. My academic work is complemented by four years of professional engineering experience in industry, giving me both theoretical depth and practical insight.
I have also recently passed the Professional Engineer (PE) exam and am in the process of obtaining my PE license.
My long-term goal is to become a professor of Mechanical Engineering at a university, where I can continue teaching, mentoring, and developing clear and rigorous explanations of the fundamental principles that underpin physics and engineering.
My approach to teaching emphasizes not just how to compute, but why the mathematics and physics work the way they do — helping students build a strong conceptual foundation that supports advanced study and professional practice.
