I am a business and technology teacher at the secondary level and a Google Educator. I conduct professional development for teachers in my district and tutor online. I have an extensive knowledge of all Google Apps for Education, the entire Microsoft Office Suite and numerous other business software. I teach in a Google Apps for Education district where I use and teach other staff members how to use Google products in the classroom. Along with being a technology teacher, I am a building technology coordinator. In that position I train teachers on all technologies used in the building and troubleshoot technological issues.
I have used all Google Apps for Education products in my classroom and use most daily. My students use Google Classroom as a learning management system and integrate Google Docs to complete assignments. I train over 450 students how to use Google Classroom and docs each school year, along with teachers in a large district.
Besides Google, I have taught computer science courses such as HTML web design, computer applications, technology applications, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Word and software integration. I have also been a high school yearbook adviser.
My passion is helping others to integrate technology into their classrooms. I have extensive experience using Camtasia Studio 8, SnagIt, Google Docs, ScreentoGif and Gyazo all of which help me create high quality screencast videos and animated instruction files.
I spent two years as a high school technology teacher and am now on my second year as a middle school technology teacher. Prior to teaching I was a marketing and retention specialist for an online company where I created promotional videos, e-mail copy and funnels.
