Filter, within WebI, is used to limit the amount of data displayed in any report. The data display is limited to a specific context. This video introduces various kinds of Filters and how they are used by a Business Analyst.
This lecture explains the various levels of objects within a Web Intelligence Document (*.wid). We use the concept of Filter to show how a filter can be applied at various levels: Report, Report Element etc.
Drill functionality enables you to work with "Dimensions" (that have a hierarchical structure) and perform analysis on them. For instance Year>Month>Week or Country>State>City or Company>Department>Project>Team etc.
Besides Sort and Drill, this lecture shows the relationship between WebI Document, Report and Report Element. The buttons enabled in the various design tabs depends on the context selected.
