We are all guilty of procrastinating at one point or another. We say things like, "Too busy." "Too risky." "Too broke." or "Too Tired." Of course this can be true in some cases, yet in most cases it is just an excuse. In this course we will tackle some of the negative effects, the patterns, the do's and don'ts as well as the steps you must take to overcome procrastination. Procrastination is a time killer, don’t give in.
“I can’t think about that right now. If I do, I’ll go crazy.” or “After all… tomorrow is another day!” -Scarlett O’Hara
Make this year a successful year, stop procrastinating! Part of this course was previously a teleseminar and because of the large number of positive feedback I have decided to share this course with you. In this course I will share with you 9 steps to overcoming procrastination.
You can't overcome procrastination or make any change in your life unless you are able and willing to be honest with yourself.
Become aware of your mental chatter, notice the patterns, and turn them into positive talk and productive actions.
Forget about what you should have or could have done; now it is time for you to focus on what you are able to do now, the present time.
Be very careful, understand that procrastinators are expert at avoiding tasks and making excuses.
Don't give into the victim mentality; make a decision to take the necessary steps you know you must take. (Big or small, take a step now)
Don't say, "I have time, so I will do it tomorro." Do say, "This is important to me, so I will take action now.”
Spend less time thinking and more time doing. Remember to give yourself permission to be human. No one is perfect!
