Hi! I'm a long time Yoga teacher, practitioner, dancer, artistic spirit, and busy mother of three children, along with being the "Yogasync Girl". I have completed a NZ IYTA diploma in Yoga and teach locally here in New Zealand. Enjoyed Lecture 9 with the healthy warm quinoa salad recipe. The progression of the class was well-balanced.
Firstly, the 6 yogasync classes are great for learning particular poses, but that is all, there is no fluidity between poses, the poses are not discussed as to what the pose does and why it is used and then, after the yogasyncs there ARE actual instructionals for the poses which fall sorely flat after the great instructional of the poses during the yogasyncs, plus they come AFTER the actual classes, bassackwards if you ask me, the instructionals should have been left out, the yogasyncs used as instructionals and left at that or actual routines that are fluid added after the yogasyncs, the voice durning the meditations is droning and nonconducive to meditating and the meditations were more distracting than enlightening. The cooking classes are desparately boring, how many carrots can we actual watch being grated, gah, plus, who wants any kind of diet forced on them, this course promotes vegetarianism and/or veganism and then on top of it uses false information to try and sway away from meat, humans ARE Omnivours (meaning meat and veggie eaters) and there ARE some of us who MUST eat meat because we CANNOT eat GRAINS and other things that we do not have a gizzard to properly digest or have blood sugar problems that prevent us from eating enough legumes and such to provide Protein, something the body needs to adequately function nor enough fat, the bodies PRIMARY FUEL and requirement for strong mental capacity. So, despite I find the exercises good as instructionals for the included poses, I find the overall course smacking of promoting unhealthy food choices for some as the only correct food choices for everyone despite these choices being harmful to some.
Droning, boring, inaccurate health info, cannot recommend anything in this course except for the 6 yogansyncs, absolutely nothing else.
Sorry, but it is a fact that different body types have different needs, it is a fact humans have canine teeth for shredding and gripping meat, it is a fact that humans do not have a gizzard to grind grains and seeds, it is a fact that there is no proof that vegetarianism or veganism is a healthier diet choice than eating clean natural raised meats.
Hey Yogasync! I'm looking forward to your next course. This one is super easy to use. I've been doing the Yogasyncs and have just done my first meditation yogasync...with my Mum! I thought Yoga was all about moving the body around. Now I have discovered that this type of Yoga is accessible to ALL! My Mum is starting the course now as well. Love that I can do it in my PJs as well :) THANK YOU!
