Yogasync.tv is all about online Yoga made easy, on your terms; so here’s the ONE PAGE skinny on how to use this course!

02:53

Congratulations you are about to start a rewarding journey. Yoga is more than just doing the physical classes, it's about bringing more awareness to your life so that you become more mindful and awake in all areas of life; It means making small changes for the better. Now is the time to grab your diary or calender to start planning your sessions into the week. Committing to what is realistic for you to achieve with the time constraints in your life is an important first step.Join myself and Al, the founder of Yogasync.tv, as we discuss how to make sure you make time for yourself and move towards the best you ever!

Section 2: Yogasync.tv Fast Track Beginners Yoga - Week One
28:06
The emphasis is on learning the standing poses, through which the body gains strength and co-ordination. From the standing poses notice the bigger muscles activating in the legs as you work your feet into the floor. Just because the legs and feet feel as though they are doing most of the work don't forget to keep extended out into the finger tips so that the arms are always active. Listen to your body, work with the correct alignment to go deeper into the pose over time rather than trying to go to deep into the poses.
19:18
In this sync you start with standing pose that help open the shoulders and finish with a supported back bend. By using props in this Sync it helps keep the body in the right alignment, so that you are opening the shoulders in the right direction. If in pose 6 you feel that the block is to high and you can't get the feet to the floor then bring the block down onto its side. Notice after you have finished if the shoulders and chest feel more open.
37:48

This is a combination of what you have been doing through out the week standing poses and shoulder work. Notice how you feel before you practice this sync and notice how you feel after the practice, hopefully taller and more open through out the whole body.

18:57

Meditation for Happiness

This meditation will help you to come alive within your physical heart by deeply feeling the life force pumping vitality and life around your body. Transform emotions that do not serve you and open up to a deeper vibration of happiness within your body/mind. At an even deeper level, more fully realize how your practice is aligning your heart and your soul so that you are happier, healthier and more joyful with each day. Through meditation, visualization and affirmations uncover your truth, connect to your inner truth and shine as the co creator that you truly are.

16:24

This basic breathing practice prepares the lungs for the more advanced practice of Pranayama. Lengthening the exhalation is soothing and helpful for those that suffer from High Blood Pressure, stress, anxiety, headaches and hot flushes during menopause. If you experience dizziness, shortness of breath, or nausea, stop the practice and rest in Savasana (lying on your back).

Once you have learnt this technique, you can do it anywhere. Although in the video we will be lying down with our eyes closed, it is very easily adapted to eyes open, sitting up, in the car, in the supermarket queue, on the sofa, in the bed etc etc. Gradually bring what you learn into everyday life for the greatest benefit, and it will soon you wont even have to think about doing it.

25:58

Warm Green Quinoa Salad

Yoga is more than the physical practice, it is also about bringing an awareness to what you eat. At some stage this week try putting together this meal. Nutritious meals that are plant based add more energy. Believe it or not, a regular dose of spinach can give you more energy than a coffee and without the burnout afterwards! Our well traveled and much sought International Vegetarian Chef, Dad and Yogi, Ram, shows us how to put together this divine meal. Tasty!

Section 3: Yogasync.tv Fast Track Beginners Yoga Week TWO
01:45

Congratulations you have made it to Week 2. This week will reinforce the work you did last week. It is fundamental that you create a solid practice upon which you can further learn, evolve and grow from. The videos in this series will therefore cover mostly the same ground. This is because you MUST get the basics internalized. Understand that, as is life, so too is yoga a process, and it does take time. So be patient with yourself and let yourself be wherever you are at in your practice. View this video, About Yoga, and think about about the analogy of the blue dye. Aim to get better, bit by bit, step by step. It's all you can ever do. We have also included some supplementary material here too, some optional reading about the origins of Yoga and the ‘Eight Limbs’ of Yoga. There are no shortcuts in life, but as you persistently and mindfully practice Yoga with awareness and dedication, you are bound to progress faster. You'll also notice some wonderful new things occurring in life off your mat too! Have fun, and please give yourself some appreciation for continuing this invaluable commitment to your lifelong wellbeing.

32:32

Here again we have carried on with the standing poses but some we have gone a little deeper into the pose, so listen to what your body is saying if it is to much just come out slightly or add a bit of height to the prop. If in pose 9 this is to much for your back then do the pose as in the first week with a block under your lower back. Notice are you working the feet evenly to the floor and feel yourself growing into the poses.

22:40
Working with the shoulders again and we have just made some of the holds in the poses longer. Notice if you can start to feel the reaction in the shoulders from the work of the hands.
27:44

Here we start with standing poses that have been lengthened so you are in the poses a little longer. You finish with a couple of back bends. You should feel energized after this practice.

18:57

Meditation for Happiness

This meditation will help you to come alive within your physical heart by deeply feeling the life force pumping vitality and life around your body. Great yoga instruction plus healthy cuisine

Enjoyed Lecture 9 with the healthy warm quinoa salad recipe. The progression of the class was well-balanced.

thought I had left a review, was it deleted?

Firstly, the 6 yogasync classes are great for learning particular poses, but that is all, there is no fluidity between poses, the poses are not discussed as to what the pose does and why it is used and then, after the yogasyncs there ARE actual instructionals for the poses which fall sorely flat after the great instructional of the poses during the yogasyncs, plus they come AFTER the actual classes, bassackwards if you ask me, the instructionals should have been left out, the yogasyncs used as instructionals and left at that or actual routines that are fluid added after the yogasyncs, the voice durning the meditations is droning and nonconducive to meditating and the meditations were more distracting than enlightening. The cooking classes are desparately boring, how many carrots can we actual watch being grated, gah, plus, who wants any kind of diet forced on them, this course promotes vegetarianism and/or veganism and then on top of it uses false information to try and sway away from meat, humans ARE Omnivours (meaning meat and veggie eaters) and there ARE some of us who MUST eat meat because we CANNOT eat GRAINS and other things that we do not have a gizzard to properly digest or have blood sugar problems that prevent us from eating enough legumes and such to provide Protein, something the body needs to adequately function nor enough fat, the bodies PRIMARY FUEL and requirement for strong mental capacity. So, despite I find the exercises good as instructionals for the included poses, I find the overall course smacking of promoting unhealthy food choices for some as the only correct food choices for everyone despite these choices being harmful to some. Droning, boring, inaccurate health info, cannot recommend anything in this course except for the 6 yogansyncs, absolutely nothing else. Sorry, but it is a fact that different body types have different needs, it is a fact humans have canine teeth for shredding and gripping meat, it is a fact that humans do not have a gizzard to grind grains and seeds, it is a fact that there is no proof that vegetarianism or veganism is a healthier diet choice than eating clean natural raised meats.
