Choosing a profitable topic is very important! You must find out what people are searching for, talking about, liking, sharing, and commenting on online. This will help you prepare for writing a profitable book on Kindle.
Let's do some Amazon research. I love Amazon because when you type in your keyword or phrase, Amazon will give you suggested results for what people are already searching for. Pay close attention to the search results and customer reviews.
|Now let's do some Google Research for finding a profitable topic. If you have something in mind, just enter your keywords or phrases into the search box on the Google Keywords Tool and you will see exactly how many people are searching for those keywords globally (worldwide) or locally.
|Yahoo Answers is a great research tool to find out what questions people are asking. Remember, you can also answer their questions as well. Pay close attention to the number of questions being asked pertaining to your topic.
|Now it's time to do some listening research on social media. If your topic is profitable, there will be facebook pages dedicated to that topic or subject. On Twitter, people will tweet about it and create hashtags as well.

|One of the best ways to find out what your community wants to buy is to "survey them". You may be surprised to know that people will tell you exactly what they want to hear about, learn about, or read about. Be strategic when creating your surveys. You must have a major goal.

|YouTube is the top video site on the entire internet. If your topic is popular, it will definitely have some videos about it. Try clicking on some of the videos to see what people are liking and commenting on. The major area to focus on is the comments section.

|To make sure that you get to finish your e-book fast, here are some tips for you:
Set a timetable for writing your e-book
Before writing you should estimate the length of e-book that you want to write. How many chapters will you create? Also, ask yourself, what is the estimated deadline for writing this e-book? Creating a timetable makes it easier for you to focus on what should be completed everyday before the deadline. You may set yourself to finish one chapter a day for ten days. By doing so, the bigger task (finishing the e-book) is broken down into smaller tasks (finishing a chapter). This makes the whole process less overwhelming and more doable.
However, once you’ve set your timetable, make sure that you follow it religiously to avoid distractions and procrastination. Also, seeing your progress everyday can help get you motivated so make sure that you reach your daily target.
Dictate it and have it transcribed later on
It’s now possible for you to record audios and have it transcribed later on. The good thing about doing this is that you get to record ideas as they come along. You can have it recorded while you’re in a bus ride or at a library. This can make writing easier because someone else (transcriber) is actually doing the “writing” for you.
Co-author the e-book
You can divide the work with your co-author and cut the time you will need to have the e-book done. If you are still a newbie, this can also be advantageous on your part if you partner with an established author because you get to slowly build a name for yourself. Also, the e-book will be sold easier because one of the authors is already well-known by the readers.
Ask for contributions
You may ask people to contribute their own stories and collate them into one book. This is how the Chicken Soup series were done. If you could find several contributors then it would definitely cut the time for writing your e-book.
Never sacrifice quality for quantity
These are just some ways on how you can complete your e-book in a shorter time. However, keep in mind that you should never compromise quality with quantity. If you rushed on writing your poorly-researched e-book, then it would definitely not sell and can even hurt your online reputation. Once you’ve published a poorly-written e-book, there’s a chance that readers will no longer purchase your next e-books (even if they’re already well-written) because of their experience with your first book. By following these tips, you can quickly write an e-book that sells.
