Just as we brush our teeth everyday to clean the residual gunk out, daily meditation has the same effect on the mind; it clears away the chatter. Yogiraj Alan Finger has been teaching yoga and meditation for over 50 years and is honored to offer his sacred meditation tools to create transformation and inspiration into everyday living. In this 60 minute course learn pre-meditative asana (poses) to prepare the body, pranayama (breathing techniques) to help draw the senses inward and visualizations to help focus the mind. The practice will conclude with a series of mantras (chants) to help to reground the energy and bring the experience of Oneness into each moment of your living.

Instructor Biography

Alan Finger, Yoga Master


South African Tantric and Kriya Yoga Master Alan Finger began studying yoga at the age of 16 with his father Mani Finger and renowned swamis of the past century. Alan and Mani created ISHTA Yoga. ISHTA is an acronym for The Integrated Science of Hatha, Tantra, and Ayurveda and blends these ancient and contemporary sciences into a system that caters to the individual student’s needs.  Before creating a home for ISHTA, Alan co-founded Yoga Zone, Be Yoga and Yoga Works. Alan has co-authored several books including Introduction to Yoga with Al Bingham and Chakra Yoga and Breathing Space with Katrina Repka. Alan travels the world to share his teachings.  He currently lives and teaches in New York City where he co-owns ISHTA Yoga with his wife, Sarah Finger.
