Professor Gooch's career experience includes: Engineering Manager, Project engineer, Community college Mechanical Design Instructor, Product Design Engineer, Automation Design Engineer and speaker who has more than 19 years of experience in education and training. He has taught students to be proficient in the field of Mechanical Design and CAD Drafting.

Professor Gooch has served on numerous boards including, Evaluation Board for Engineering Students, and Liaison for relations of local engineering companies looking to place students. He is also a member of ADDA (American Design Drafting Association).
