About me
Srinjoy Ganguly is a PhD researcher in Quantum Technologies at University College London (UCL). His PhD focuses on the intersection of integrated photonics, neutral atoms and superconducting circuits. Before starting his doctorate, he was a Lead Quantum AI Scientist at Fractal’s Quantum AI Lab (Fractal Analytics) and Clinical Professor of Practice (Quantum Technology) at Woxsen University. He has also served as an Associate Supervisor at the University of Southern Queensland (Australia), where he co-supervised Dr Farina Riaz on quantum machine learning. He is an IBM Qiskit Advocate and a member of the IBM Quantum Educators Network. He has authored four books on quantum technologies and has published research in quantum chemistry, quantum machine learning, quantum natural language processing, and materials science. Recently, his research on quantum education was published in EPJ Quantum Technology and was featured by Forbes. His book on Silq was adopted as a reference at the University of Lübeck, Germany; Productizing Quantum Computing was listed in the European Commission’s quantum computing selected books; and his Qiskit Metal book is available via the Max Planck Digital Library. His teaching and mentoring footprint (20+ students) includes QWorld QIntern (since 2021) — where he supervised projects in ZX calculus, quantum NLP, quantum music, Qiskit Metal, and quantum error mitigation/optimization — and multiple Faculty Development Programmes on quantum computing across Indian universities, reaching 100+ faculty members. He has delivered invited talks at IITs and the IEEE Signal Processing Society to audiences of 150+ participants. He currently helps manage the Quantum Open Source Foundation (QOSF) mentorship programme globally and serves on programme committees for QSEEC, IEEE Quantum Week, and other international conferences. He also edited a quantum computing book for De Gruyter. He holds three master’s degrees — in Quantum Technologies (CSIC–UIMP, Spain), Quantum Computing Technology (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid), and Artificial Intelligence (University of Southampton) — and a B Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi.
