Sallama is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries. She started her actuarial career in 2009 with the Palestinian Pension Agency, where she worked on several projects to conduct actuarial valuation and set reform plans for pension schemes in Palestine in cooperation with the World Bank and the International Labor Organization.
Salama completed her postgraduate studies in the UK, where she earned two master's degrees, MSc. in Actuarial Science (2012) and MSc. in Actuarial Management (2015).
In late 2016, Salama joined Allied Actuarial Consultancy as a Senior Actuarial Analyst and progressed through positions to become a Senior Actuarial Manager. Salama has expertise in end-of-service benefit valuations, life reserving, and product development.
Currently, Sallama is working on her project of developing an Actuarial Education and Training Platform to help young Arab actuarial students in their journey to become qualified actuaries.
