Born in Denmark of Scottish Parents. Qualified as a teacher and played semi- pro football before joining the English FA in 1978
As FA Assistant Director of Coaching & Technical Coordinator established :
- The FA’s Grassroots Programme including the Soccer Star Program and introduction of Mini- Soccer
- UEFA Coach Education Course in England.
- The FA Coaches Association
- FA Learning Ltd. with 10 Online Learning Courses and with Howard Wilkinson the Youth Academy System in England
Left fulltime employment with the FA in 2005 to start business in e-learning (www.sportspath.com ) and also to become UEFA Grassroots Football Consultant which included input into www.uefa.com/trainingground
At Sports Path:
- Established Online Courses used by over 50,000 Soccer Parents
- Developed the LMA School of Football Management Online Courses
- Launched the Soccer Diet online course
Has also advised FIFA ,CONCACAF, & The FA’s of Turkey, Saudi Arabia,Cyprus,Northen Ireland and Palestine + clubs including Shakhtar Donetsk & Southampton FC
In 2013, Robin wrote ‘ Soccer Coaching and the Web’ in 2013 and also became an Adjunct Professor, Online Coaching Education, Ohio University,Ohio,USA
