Omar Geneidy is an Egyptian Architect specialized in Digital Design and Robotic Fabrication. He worked as a research assistant at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, (EPFL) Switzerland. Graduated from the Masters in Robotics and Advanced Construction (MRAC) at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC), Spain in 2019. He Finished bachelor in Architecture Engineering at the British University in Egypt (BUE) in 2017 with a First-Class Honor, ranked second over his cohort. He Participated in 7 international workshops related to digital design and fabrication. And have worked on multiple projects involving the use of robots in architectural practice.
His Teaching activities included giving a 5 days 20 hours intensive parametric workshop to the students of “The Master of Science in Architecture” at EPFL. He has published online courses in the field of digital design with more than 2,000 enrolled students on multiple platforms. Prior to the masters he designed and fabricated office desks using digital design & fabrication tools. His Bachelor’s thesis was focusing on the use of 3D concrete printing in construction projects in Egypt. For he won the best graduation project Idea contest and was granted a fund from his school.
