Nearly a decade ago, I stepped into the vibrant world of maternal health, and it has been an incredible journey ever since. As a devoted mom, a former Peace Corps volunteer, and a passionate labor and delivery nurse, I am deeply committed to enhancing maternal health in the United States. My path has been a rich tapestry of personal and professional experiences, all woven together by my desire to uplift and support others during one of life’s most transformative moments.
I proudly hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from New York University and have earned certifications in RNC-OB (Inpatient Obstetric Nursing) and EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring), alongside completing AWHONN's Fetal Heart Monitoring Program. Additionally, my Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Emmanuel College has equipped me with a broader perspective, allowing me to see nursing and clinical care through a macro lens.
In my role as a labor and delivery nurse, I feel truly honored to support mothers and families during one of their most significant life events. From guiding them through labor to providing postpartum care, my mission is to ensure that every mother and baby receive the love and support they deserve. Advocating for maternal health and helping families navigate their healthcare journeys is where my passion shines brightest.
My time as a Youth and Families Volunteer in Ecuador with the Peace Corps has also profoundly shaped my perspective. It opened my eyes to the diverse challenges that birthing people and families face across the globe, deepening my empathy and commitment to service.
When I’m not at work, you'll often find me cherishing time with my family, baking delicious treats, soaking up the sun at the beach, exploring the vibrant streets of NYC, or traveling to new destinations. Whether I’m at home or in the field, my dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of others remains unwavering.
