Olga Sumarokova

Hello, I am Olga, your Chinese painting tutor.

I am a professional artist and a designer; also I am one of the founders of Chainka studio and Workshop in Moscow.

I graduated from Moscow Art and Industrial University in 2000.

In 2010 - 2011 I sucessfully completed the full course of guó huà training called “Flowers are Birds” which included gongbi as well. For this course I received a certificate from the teacher Julia Naumova and later started developing my own training programes.

In 2014-2015 I improved my knowledges in guó huà with Li Yixiao Laoshi, and calligraphy with Sie Yun Hui Laoshi.( China)

In 2013, I was fortunate to study Chinese painting in China, at the Anshan University. Lectures were given by Tian Lei and I mastered the skills of Xe-i styles, Landscapes and Gongbi paintings

I completed my training in China, at the University of Anshan with a teacher Leu Feng Wen in 2014, 2016 and 2017
Further, also in 2017, I had the opportunity to to study the style of Moguf at the workshop of famous contemporary Chinese artist, Zhou Bin in Beijing.

In 2019 I was trained by the famous gong-bi animalist Shin Chenai, according to the cat drawing program in sophisticated gongbi style.

Now I am a member of the International Association of Chinese Calligraphy and Artists of Sumi-e, Tokyo, Japan (International Chinese Calligraphic Art and Ink Painting Artist Society).

In my studio and at online classes I teach beginners and more advanced artists from around the world.
