Maria Jose Marin

My name is Maria Jose Marin, or M.J. for short, and I am a Certified Life Coach and a published author. I live in San Diego, California, but I was born and raised in the Mediterranean town of Alicante, Spain.

I have a Masters degree in Healthcare Administration and I hold several certifications in Life Coaching and Executive Coaching. I specialize in Transitional Coaching.

I have over 15 years of work experience in the fields of social services and healthcare, including:

- 6 years for a nonprofit serving persons with developmental disabilities;

- 3 years with the California Department of Social Services helping disabled individuals;

- 3 years for a large healthcare organization in Southern California with 5 hospitals and over 30 clinics;

- 1 year in the psychiatry department at a California State prison.

Helping people is a passion for me. It is ingrained in my personality, it is who I am. I care about the well-being of others and do what I can to help them lead happy lives. In my spare time, I love to volunteer for hospice organizations, visiting those with terminal illness and helping them find comfort.
