I started gardening as a teenager. I fell in love with it so much that I decided to study horticulture in college. During my studies, I started doing garden designs for friends and teaching community education about gardening. That led me to study more about permaculture, water-wise landscaping, and sustainable designs. After graduation, I ran a successful residential garden design business.

After a while, I was itching to get more education and decided to learn more about design and landscapes by studying landscape architecture. And while I was getting a landscape architecture degree, I also found the field of instructional design which paired well with my love of education. I now have a Master's in Landscape Architecture, a Master's in Instruction Design, a Permaculture Design Certificate, and a Bachelor of Horticulture.

I have been designing residential landscapes for over twelve years, and gardening for almost twenty. I currently run Responsive Gardens which offers design, coaching, and education services.
