When running a casting session, the goal for me is ALWAYS the same: to get the best performance I can from the actor or model auditioning for the role. It’s not just a numbers game for me (get’em in get’em out), I love it when an actor or model leaves my casting studio feeling good about the audition they just did, and knowing that the direction and coaching I gave them helped them get there. I studied acting in college, and I know first hand how nerve wracking it can be to put yourself out there that’s why teaching and coaching felt like a natural transition.

Coaching Background

Colleen and Dana both began training actors and models early on in their casting careers. Colleen taught commercial classes in the evenings at TVI, NY and guest lecturing at numerous acting studios in the city. Dana taught Commercial Classes at Stone Street Studio, affiliate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and later on Colleen and Dana conducted Hosting and Commercial seminars for William Esper Studios, Stone Street, and IMTA.

On Camera Coaches

In 2002, Casting Director Dana Hensley and I teamed up and On Camera Coaches was born. We have taught this commercial class to thousands of actors and models, in NYC and they have had unbelievable success booking commercials. In addition to actors and models we coach people from all walks of life, business professionals, entrepreneurs, CEO’s, and Celebrity Personalities.

We can’t train everyone at our NY studio (and everything is on hold due to Covid-19), so now you can get the same training as our clients in NYC, and we wanted to make it super affordable. These are tough times, but they will pass.
