Kristen Lindbloom

Kristen received her Master of Arts in Viking and Medieval Norse Studies from the University of Iceland and the University of Oslo in 2020. Thanks for this program, she was able to spend two years living in two Nordic countries--Reykjavik, Iceland and Oslo, Norway.

Her interest in the Nordic countries first began as a child when she discovered that her ancestors were from Norway and Sweden. During her undergraduate degree, she studied the Swedish language and minored in Scandinavian studies. When she graduated, she took solo backpacking trips to Iceland and the Scandinavian countries to explore the breathtaking landscapes and the culture of 'hygge'.

Kristen looks forward to returning to the North and continuing to learn about the Vikings!
