My name is Kiara Banks, but please call me Ms. Kay. I teach life skills courses to young learners, helping them communicate, set goals and make good decisions. 

I have over 20 years of experience as a volunteer teacher at a local community center, instructing students as young as 4-years-old. I also teach English language learners online, utilizing my TESOL certification. I have a certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education, as well as a Professional Tutor Certification. Most importantly, I am a homeschool teacher to my 5th-grade son.  I love to learn and am constantly working to improve my skills as a teacher.

I enjoy many types of arts and crafts activities. As a fun fact, my favorite dessert is cake. I taught cake decorating lessons at a local craft store and sold decorated cakes for several years. Some of my wedding cakes even won awards!
