My name is Kate and I am an early childhood teacher,  university teacher and early childhood instruction designer.

My name is Kate and I am a qualified early childhood teacher and tertiary teachers’ educator who is very passionate about early years learning.

I live in Australia and enjoy nature walks and ocean swims.  I love playing the piano and baritone ukulele; singing with children and pre-service teachers; write poetry and silly songs. Making puppets and other teaching resources is another passion of mine.

I am very passionate about Early Years from 0-5. I have a background in Early Childhood (Bachelor’s and Master of Education), VET and Tertiary education (both face-to-face classroom teaching and online learning). I have worked in the early childhood profession for over 17 years in various positions: as a nanny, playgroup coordinator, and storyteller at the local library, as an educator, kindergarten teacher, and educational leader.
I have Certificate 3, a Diploma, Bachelor’s and Master’s of Early Childhood Education, and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

I work as a relief ECT in different preschools and long daycare centres to keep current.

I love playing the piano and ukulele; singing with children and pre-service teachers; write poetry and silly songs. My true passion is storytelling with puppets.
I am also a book nerd and read everything related to early childhood education and care.

How can I help you?

** As an early childhood teacher and teacher’s educator, I love to share my passion for early learning through stories; puppet shows, action songs, circle games, children’s songs, and thoughts about helping young children to learn. You will find loads of free resources, ideas, tips and digital products to improve your pedagogy.

** With a strong focus on storytelling, teaching with puppets, music and play, I will demonstrate the ways to create an engaging program for children, with a particular emphasis on circle time (group time, meeting time or yarning circle). I am committed to supporting the community for early childhood pre-service educators (Certificate 3 in ECEC, diploma in ECEC and a Bachelor of ECEC and working professionals.
