Hi, I’m Joshua Goodwin — a structural engineer with hands-on experience across design, construction, and temporary works in the UK.
Over the past several years, I’ve worked on complex projects from concept to site execution, tackling everything from high-rise structures to crane bases and demolition works. My expertise covers steel, concrete, timber, and masonry design to Eurocodes, as well as practical experience with site inspections, rebar detailing, and problem-solving in fast-paced construction environments.
Alongside my engineering career, I’ve developed a passion for teaching and automation. I regularly use Excel, Python, and other digital tools to streamline calculations, improve accuracy, and save time for engineers in practice. My courses combine this technical knowledge with real-world insights — showing you not just the “how,” but also the “why” behind engineering workflows.
I believe learning should be practical, clear, and directly applicable to your projects. My goal is to help engineers and students build confidence in using tools like Excel, while also understanding the engineering principles that drive good design.
If you’re looking to strengthen your skills in structural engineering, design automation, and engineering software, I look forward to guiding you through.
