About me
Security Expert
I am the founder of my own business, which was registered in my home State in the early 2000's. I am passionate about teaching students penetration testing and cyber security, and have been actively studying and practicing the art of penetration testing for the last fifteen years. When not active in the field, I have a passion for coding and the creation of useful applications.
My areas of focus include:
- Linux operating systems and secure server implementation.
- System administration.
- Full system encryption methods for corporate systems.
- Communication security.
- Cryptographic measures to safeguard file systems.
- Troubleshooting networks.
- Application coding in LUA, Python and Java
- Penetration testing of networks and systems to harden security.
- Bash scripting, of which I have a modest degree of skill.
- Installation of hardware and equipment for hardened systems.
- Managing a small team of dedicated security professionals.
- Teaching.
I actually began my career path going in a very different direction. I graduated from the Hypnotherapy Training Institute of my home State in 2001. I was certified to practice as a Clinical Hypnotherapist in 2002-2003 by the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners. Studying hypnosis and psychology is another passion of mine, and if people enjoy the body of work I present here on Udemy in the security field, I may expand my teaching to these subjects. My professional focus shifted in 2007 to the study of IT and it became an addiction. I love my work, and I hope that this venue allows me to pass on what I have learned to a new generation of professionals. This is my first time teaching online, and I admit that I don't entirely know what to expect. I hope that people find use from the content that I present, and look forward to updating that content over time.
