Jonathan Drury is a pioneering practitioner and author in the fields of Autism and Neurodiversity. He holds certification in Autism, Coaching, Mentoring, Counselling and Mindfulness. He is a Senior member of AACPH and an Associate of EMCC.
Jonathan has been practising professional dialogue, a discipline founded by the work of quantum scientist David Bohm in the 1980s, in various settings since 2010.
After three decades of involvement in spiritual disciplines and monastic lifestyle, including living in communes and taking lengthy solitary retreats, upon attempting to return to normal society, he was informed by the NHS that he met the criteria for Asperger's and ADHD.
Applying professional dialogue to the field of Autism with staff at the University of Sheffield in 2017 was a transformative experience, leading him to pioneer the first large-scale Autism Dialogue sessions and conferences. This marked the beginning of a movement that has since grown into an international community. Jonathan has supported and taught hundreds of individuals and organisations for almost 10 years in the field, through coaching, training, and advocacy. He has also served several local authorities, universities, charities, the NHS, the Anna Freud Centre and more.
Jonathan lives and works in the English Peak District countryside with his family.
