My specialty is pediatrics. I started as a Special Education teacher, then went on to earn  a doctorate in psychology. Today, I am a practicing psychologist and a trainer/presenter to parents and child service professionals. My topics and keynote addresses are designed and developed to encourage the adults who work with youngsters who are at-risk emotionally and behaviorally.

Writing is also a deep interest of mine, especially when the topic involves helping and encouraging young people. I publish a blog, It's About Them, and have,for over two years, have authored a monthly online publication, The ODD Management Digest. (In this sense, ODD refers to Oppositional Defiant Disorder.)
