I have spent my entire career, spanning more than 35 years, in the IT industry. I am passionate advocate of how technology transform our lives; enriching, enhancing and liberating us all.
I have worked predominantly in the Further and Higher Education sectors both as a Lecturer and in IT management & support. My passion for teaching & learning underpinned by my IT technical experience has led me to explore the potential of being an instructor on Udemy.
Although I am technically focused (let's be honest, a bit of a geek) I love to build and create, both in the real world and in the virtual one. I certainly cannot be considered, in any way, to posses artistic talent (just ask me to draw a dog and you'll quickly understand why), but game development has allowed me to express my creativity in ways that do not rely on raw artistic talent.
I have a first class BSc honours degree from the Open University and also a Masters degree. I am equally proud of my more vocational qualifications in teaching, Laboratory Science and, believe it or not, a TV engineering.
I still get a buzz from sharing my knowledge with others and I live by the mantra that "the best way to learn is to teach". I hope to learn as much from my time on Udemy as I give and look forward to us working together in the near future.
