We are Angie Canavan and Helene Giacometti and set up Mimi's French Classes in 2014, bringing fun French to many young learners and their families. We teach face-to-face classes in Dublin, Ireland for Babies up to 8 year olds, and we also do fun live zoom classes for ages 3-8 years. We are excited to be able to bring our access anytime, online courses to Udemy.
Who we are:
I am Helene, and I was born with French speaking parents in Ireland. I grew up bilingual in English and French. I am an experienced Primary School teacher with a specialism in teaching foreign languages. I also studied a degree in French at Trinity College. I have two young children who have inspired a lot of our content for Mimi's French Classes and who insist on everything being fun!
Salut, je m'appelle Angie. I on the other hand learnt French from scratch and I am so passionate about finding fun and easy ways to teach it to young learners. I lived in Paris for several years where I obtained a degree from the Sorbonne University. I qualified as a teacher from Exeter University and have over 14 years' experience teaching in England, Ireland and France. I also hold a DALF C2 (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française). I have two daughters who have been such a huge part of getting Mimi's French Classes perfect for young learners.
Together we have created a wonderful, effective and natural way of teaching children and their families. We hope you all get as much enjoyment from Mimi's as we do.
