About me
My personal path to a career as a chiropractor was not a straightforward one. Originally, I come from a completely different field of study and a professional career in the pharmaceutical industry. Years ago, I turned to the search for alternative treatment methods, initially to find an additional solution and help for a musculoskeletal problem of my own. The ease and immediacy of the internet quickly brought me into contact with some therapists abroad and I soon began to apply their techniques to my own problem.
The spectacular improvements in pain reduction as well as increased mobility that I got were such that they pushed me to the decision to work more seriously and more thoroughly, to learn more manual therapy methods. So I immediately started studying Physiotherapy (Thessaloniki 2014) so as to gain the necessary initial knowledge of anatomy and functions of the human body.
I continued with a learning program on the identification and solutions of deep myofascial spasms from the IMTT (Interessengemeinschaft für myofasziale Triggerpunkt-Therapie) (Athens 2014).
Along the way, I wanted to get to know another alternative method, Electroacupuncture (Alternative Therapy Center, Thessaloniki 2016), which I now practice in combination with manual therapy cases where these methods are now proven to be effective.
My professional path in the field of alternative therapies and massage began a decade ago, practicing one or a combination of the above methods as the patient profile required.
My daily occupation with these varied techniques led me to the creation of my own Healing Flow Massage Technique, which I now provide as an educational seminar program person to person as well asonline. The last training I received, HVLA (High-Velocity Low-Amplitude) Thrust Manipulation Techniques (Osteokinesis Education Center), is purely about Chiropractic techniques. It can best be described as an integrated alternative method of decompressing the spinal joints and peripheral joints with an immediate effect of well-being and relaxation of the entire body.
Especially in its combination with the Healing Flow Massage method, HVLA constitutes a comprehensive session of complete relaxation and an alternative approach to pain treatment. Observing the immense success of these combined methods brought about the most recent development in the operation of Pateras Bodywork--the provision of training seminars person to person and online courses.
I am Certified Practitioner and Training Provider by the International Accreditation Council for Alternative Therapies IPHM (International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine).
