Hi, I’m Lukas originally an academic in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy, now a full-time Airbnb host based in London, UK.
What started as a side project during my university years has grown into a full-scale hosting career. I now manage 15 listings across London, ranging from cozy studios to stylish multi-bedroom flats. Over the past year, I’ve hosted 3,245 bookings, maintained a 93% occupancy rate, and welcomed thousands of guests from around the world. My average rating is 4.96 from over 18,500 reviews, which I take immense pride in it’s a reflection of the care, consistency, and attention I put into every stay.
July is usually our peak season, hitting 98% occupancy, while January is the slowest though even then, we keep things steady at 81%. Most of my bookings come from returning guests and direct Airbnb searches (72%), which is the best kind of feedback I could ask for.
Beyond the numbers, hosting gives me the chance to connect with people, create memorable experiences, and apply the same ESG principles I’ve researched for years sustainability, quality, and trust. I believe a good host does more than hand over the keys. It’s about providing comfort, clarity, and a little local magic.
