Rev. Dr. Emmanouil (Eugene) Georgantakis holds a Ph.D. in Church History, a B.A., a Th.B., a Th.M., and a Diploma in Byzantine Music. He is currently pursuing a second Ph.D. in Social Theology and Religious Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. Born in Athens, Greece, he has studied Orthodox Theology in Athens, Crete, and Nicosia, Cyprus. On May 18, 2019, he graduated with a Master of Theology (Th.M.) from Hellenic College Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. Additionally, he holds a Diploma in Byzantine Music and has chanted in numerous parishes in New York and Greece.
With expertise in religious studies, philosophy, theology, history, modern Greek, ancient Greek, and Byzantine music, he has taught Greek language for over ten years, including several years at schools in New York.
