Dr Jean Hazlitt is a leadership coach and internationally recognized speaker, dedicated to advancing the coaching profession through her PhD research. With 28 years of corporate experience and 17 years in coaching, she specializes in helping organizations build a Leader as Coach culture, enabling managers to lead with a coaching mindset. She challenges leaders to rethink their assumptions, embrace self-awareness, and drive meaningful change in their teams and organizations.

Jean has designed and authored leadership development programs that integrate essential soft skills and people skills, equipping leaders to connect, influence, and inspire. As a dedicated educator, she plays a key role in shaping future coaches through various coaching schools and facilitates multiple modules at SACAP.

She holds a Doctorate in Leadership and Coaching from Monarch Business School Switzerland and is the creator of DYLACUBE (TM) (Dynamic Leader as Coach Cube Concept), an innovative framework for integrating coaching into leadership. She is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the Centre for Coaching (Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town).

As a trained mentor coach and coaching supervisor, Jean has supervised and mentored internal coaches at multiple organizations and coaching schools. She has completed training in coaching supervision and Coach Mentoring, as well as Enneagram training to enhance her understanding of personality dynamics in leadership. She was also a committee member on the COMENSA Supervision Portfolio.

Her corporate career in banking and finance was diverse, spanning data analytics, marketing, retail sales, and corporate card sales & service management. She has led national teams, facilitated large-scale training, and driven key business transformations. Her internal coaching work includes redeployment workshops, change management initiatives, leadership coaching for senior managers, and group supervision for internal coaches.

Jean has been a speaker at international conferences, sharing insights on leadership, coaching, and organizational transformation.
