Iranian Dance Academy

Iranian Dance Academy is a unique online platform for Iranian/Persian dance instruction based on the highly sought out Shahrzad Technique. Created in response to the growing global demand for learning this specific dance technique, IDA’s unique system integrates live one-on-one coaching sessions with expert instructors into their courses, and serves students around the world.

Shahrzad is an internationally recognized, Iranian-born dancer and choreographer with a Master’s degree in creative arts. She is the artistic director of Shahrzad Dance Company, creator of Shahrzad Technique, author of the book, The Art of Persian Dance and a member of an international research team studying the effects of dance on the brain. A 30-year dance veteran, she travels internationally to teach and perform and has students around the globe including Iran.

Delsie is a highly sought out dancer, choreographer and teacher certified in Shahrzad Technique. Born in Iran, she has 20+ years experience as an educator, a Master’s degree in education and teaches Iranian/Persian dance online and locally in Colorado, USA. Delsie’s students describe her as warm, challenging and organized while her audiences describe her as joyful, authentic and passionate.
