David Pierre aka That Cyber Guy came to the United States from Haiti seven years ago. Starting from the bottom, cleaning bathrooms at a fast food restaurant (Chick-fil-A), David worked his way up to become an Application Security Manager.

With a passion for teaching and the ability to explain complex technical concepts. David is driven by his desire to help others and his expertise in cybersecurity. He also serves as a cybersecurity mentor to empower students to tackle real-world challenges and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends.

David holds an Associate of Science in cybersecurity from Allegany College of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in software development and security, and a Master of Science in cyber operations from University of Maryland Global Campus. He also holds the CompTIA Security+ certification.

David is a family man who enjoys spending time with his family. Along with his dedication to cybersecurity and making the digital world a safer place, David also loves reading his Bible, playing soccer, playing the bass guitar and piano, and cooking delicious Haitian cuisine.

In addition to his fluency in English, David is also proficient in his native languages of French and Haitian Creole.
