Our courses are designed by Dr. Thomas Matheus, the Chief Technology Officer at Cystel. Thomas has worked in higher education for more than 20 years. He has a Ph.D. in technology management in supply chains and two MIT xPRO certificates in Quantum Computing Fundamentals and Quantum Computing Algorithms for Cybersecurity, Chemistry, and Optimization.

Thomas has published papers with a focus on supply chain innovation, cybersecurity, hackers, and artificial intelligence from a management perspective, as well as exploring innovation in various industries.

At Cystel, Thomas leads on an Innovate UK funded project about establishing a security assurance framework to assess system security for quantum technology based communications systems, with Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) as the primary focus. As part of this project, Thomas leads a team to develop a risk assessment framework for quantum key distribution.
