In this course, *How to Live in a World Without Justice?*, I introduce the **LAFE Moral Gravity Program** — a unique blend of classical virtue ethics and modern AI interaction. Learners use a practical checklist to evaluate their inner character, and engage in guided dialogue with ChatGPT to reflect, recognize, and grow in **wisdom, courage, temperance, justice, and agape (selfless love).**
My name is Soichi Nakamura. I am a political philosopher, university professor, and the founder of **LAFE — Liberal Arts for Everyone**, an initiative dedicated to cultivating human excellence through virtue and love.
I graduated with honors from Columbia University, one of the most prestigious Ivy League institutions. While at Columbia, I also held the No.1 national ranking in men’s singles tennis in Japan, and later became the youngest Japanese partner at KPMG, a leading global consulting firm.
Throughout my journey — as an athlete, business leader, and philosopher — I have pursued a single ideal: **the moral development of the soul as the foundation for a just and flourishing life.**
At the heart of this mission is a timeless philosophy: the harmony of the **Four Cardinal Virtues** from Greco-Roman thought — *Wisdom, Courage, Temperance, and Justice* — united with the Christian ideal of **Agape**.
These ideals, rooted in the teachings of *Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle*, form the moral foundation of the liberal arts tradition — and the guiding light of LAFE.
