Combined, we've had years of formal training and countless adventures under our belts. From deep in the Florida Everglades, to the jaws of the Himalayas, the Rockies of Colorado and the Canons of Utah, we bring you invaluable knowledge to help get you from zero to competent wilderness backpacker FAST!

Carlos served 8 years in the Air Force Auxiliary (CAP) and taught  and lead hundreds of cadets in search and rescue in Hawk Mountain Ranger School and many other survival/emergency services activities; not to mention over 100 nights in the wilderness.

Brandon has climbed all over the world including the Himalayas, Argentina, Bolivia and the US including Mt. Rainier (twice), Mt. Whitney, Mt. Shasta, and countless wilderness adventures with Carlos.
