Björn Olsson has a PhD in Computer Science from Exeter University, UK,  and years of experience as a professional instructor and trainer for Bioinformatics. He has publications on applications of bioinformatics in various fields such as biomarker discovery, genome assembly, gene expression analysis and disease prognosis. Over the course of his career he has taught bioinformatics courses from beginner to advanced level and developed study programmes for bachelor and master's students, as well as collaborated with industry partners in a wide range of research projects.
