My name is Basel Abdelazeem, and I am a cardiovascular disease fellow at West Virginia University. I have a unique and inspiring journey to medicine, having gone through two residency matches and one fellowship match before finding my true calling in cardiology.

I am passionate about teaching and sharing my experiences and knowledge with others. I believe that everyone has the potential to learn and grow, and I am committed to helping my students succeed. I am also a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion in medicine.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and playing Soccer.
