My journey into professional food photography began in 2010 when I had the chance to collaborate with the publisher and editor of a local foodie magazine. This opportunity led to hundreds of my photos being featured in the magazine, including 13 cover shots. Through this experience, I honed my skills and gained invaluable insights, which I’m now eager to share with you.
Training and Background
I received my first camera at 16 and, through trial and error, discovered my passion for food photography. When I decided to pursue it professionally, I earned a Photography Certificate from SAIT in Calgary, Canada, and have been working as a professional photographer since 2008, specializing in food photography.
International Recognition
In 2021, 2022, and 2023, my food photography was shortlisted for the prestigious Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year awards. In 2024, one of my images was selected as a finalist and received a "Highly Commended" honor in the “Food At The Table” category. Competing against over 10,000 entries in this global competition, I was thrilled—and you might say tickled pink—to be recognized by a panel of international expert judges.
