Ahmed is a Solution Architect at Autodesk, specializing in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) domain. In his role, he assists customers through architecting and developing custom solutions based on the different Autodesk products; especially developing cloud solutions based on Autodesk Platform Services (APS) formerly Forge.
Additionally, he is pursuing a PhD in Adaptive and Performative Building Components at the Institute of Construction Informatics at Dresden University of Technology. His research focuses on creating brain-controlled and energy-efficient smart homes, utilizing technologies such as Brain-Computer Interfaces, Digital Twins, and Reinforcement Learning.
With over 8 years of experience in the AEC Tech industry, he has worked for both construction and software corporations such as HOCHTIEF, Implenia RIB, and Autodesk. His experiences are primarily in the AEC software development domain.
He possesses also an interdisciplinary academic background, starting with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture before transitioning to Engineering Informatics during his postgraduate studies. He has advanced his research skills in AEC Technology and holds a Master's degree in Integrated Engineering Design in Construction.
His interests lie in CAD, BIM, GIS, IoT, AR/VR, AI, Cloud Technologies, Business Intelligence, Machine Learning, and their applications within the construction industry.
