Course Description

If you are a singer who has ever thought of quitting your day job and earning a living by taking your talent to the next level, this course is for you. The Karaoke 2 Pro Udemy Course is a treasure chest of information you won't find anywhere else about how to build a successful career as a part time or full time solo performer.

Attention: This course is still in the launch phase with lots more content being added daily, which means you can get in now at a discounted "Early Bird" price of just $197. The price will go up to $297 in the near future, and then probably go up again because the insider information in this course is so valuable.

My name is "Rockin" Rick Bell and I can teach you everything you need to know to have a long and successful career as a solo singer and entertainer. This course teaches you what it took me 20 years to figure out the hard way!

I am a full time successful solo entertainer and I've won multiple awards for everything from songwriting to "Best Band of the Year" so I know exactly what I'm talking about.

In 1999 I began developing a solo music career instead of the "band thing" I had always done because frankly, I was tired of all the drama and sobriety issues that come with a band! I began studying the top solo performers in Las Vegas and soon discovered they all performed with "track" music instead of a live band. This one revelation changed my performance career forever, and I'm going to teach you EXACTLY how to build a library of track songs so you'll never again need a band to perform.

I know what I'm talking about because as I am writing this, I am actually sitting in my dressing room at the State Fair of Texas, where I have been a featured daily solo music performer for the entire 24 days of the State Fair of Texas every year since 2012. The State Fair is a BIG time paid gig, and I have been hired here 4 years in a row for one reason only; because my act - singing and playing guitar along with prerecorded track music - is one of the best in the business!

I have learned how to "break in" to the big gigs and what you must have in order to do so. This course will give you backstage access to secrets I've never shared before, and show you how to do exactly what I've done in your own way, using your own talents.

As someone who had to learn this the hard way, I can tell you without reservation that the information inside this course is potentially worth more than 100 times what you will pay for it! If you believe in yourself and your talent, I encourage to dive in. Remember, it's not a lack of talent that holds most people back, it's a lack of knowledge.

What are the requirements?

  • All you need to take this course is a basic understanding of how to use a computer, some headphones and a microphone.
  • If you decide to start your entertainment business, which is a very profitable business by the way, you will obviously need a sound system and a few more things, all of which are clearly detailed in this course.

What am I going to get from this course?

  • Start your new career as a professional singer right now by learning how to take your talent to the professional level.
  • It is not a lack of talent that holds most people back when it comes to music, it's a lack of knowledge.
  • You don't need a band or a record deal to earn a good living as a singer - I know because I've done it.
  • The insider information in this course can give a talented person the crucial knowledge they must have to break into the entertainment business.
  • You will know more about the Entertainment business by the time you finish this course, than 95% of the professional musicians and singers out there.

What is the target audience?

  • If you enjoy singing, you should take this course.
  • If you've ever been told that you are a really good singer and you should do something with it, you should take this course.

Here is a sample of the type of promo flier I create to take to club owners when I pitch my act to them. You can use the flier to get some ideas for your design. I recommend having a graphic artist do the layout for you if you don't do that kind of stuff yourself. Notice the fun, action themed feel of the flier. You want to sell fun.

08:25

This video explains how to use the online basic info request sample I have included with this course.

3 pages

This is a sample of the basic information form I have potential clients fill out when they are interested in booking my entertainment for an event.

This form is filled out online directly from my website and sent to my email inbox. Online forms like this one are without a doubt one of the most powerful tools you can use when it comes to booking gigs.

3 pages

This is a sample of the preliminary wedding information form I have potential clients fill out when they are interested in booking my entertainment for a wedding.

1 page

This is a sample of the actual booking contract I have used for years to book gigs. It's simple and straightforward, and it's only one page - which is important for buyers at the corporate level - I'll explain why in the video.

1 page

Here is a blank contract you can feel free to download and use if you want, or you can use it to create your own contract in Microsoft Word, or whatever program you use.

DISCLAIMER: I am not a lawyer and I do not present this contract as a legal binding contract. I have never intended to sue anyone over a performance contract so I use this contract as more of a "Guidelines" sheet that outlines what I am going to provide the buyer and how much they are going to pay me.

If you want a legal binding contract you can take this sample to your attorney and let them craft you one.

1 page

This is a handy "cheat sheet" you can use to tell you what announcements you need to make at a club gig. You can have some of these printed on card stock. You can print them 2 to a page and cut the pages in half so you get 2 cards from each page.

When you get to the gigs, have staff at the clubs where you perform fill out the cards with specials, birthday parties that night, and any other events they are aware of.

1 page

This handy Que sheet will tell you everything you need to know about performing for a corporate event. Have the person who booked you for the event, usually someone from the Human Resources department, fill out this Que sheet at the event before the event starts, or even better in advance before the day of the event.

Section 4: Bonus Section
12:22

This is a bonus video that will help teach you the basics of finding your singing key on a piano.

06:24

Finding the key of a song is an important step most singers have no clue how to do. This video will take you step-by-step through a simple process to find the key of the songs you want to sing using a guitar.

Section 5: Conclusion
02:09

Now that you have the information you need to take your talent to the next level, it's time to get to work! This course will continue to be a "work in progress" with new material being added as time goes by. Please feel free to contact me through Udemy with any questions or clarifications you may need. Also, feel free to contact me about having your song or video projects recorded in my online GigCoachStudio.com, or about helping you create a promo package that sells.

Instructor Biography

Rick Bell, The Gig Coach - Helping You Turn Your Talent Into a Career

I am a professional entertainer who also happens to be a veteran writer and public speaker. My entertainment career has taken me to some of the biggest stages in show business, and my writing and speaking career has taken me across the United States several times over.

I've seen the entertainment business form just about every vantage point a person can, and my goal is to spare newcomers the heartache and hard roads that lie ahead of them if they aren't prepared with the knowledge they need.

I have a unique solo music performance method I spent years developing that allows me to entertain crowds of any size with a one man show. My system is so unique that other entertainers call me "The Gig Coach" and ask me to teach them some of my techniques. I've won awards for Song Writing from the Southern Songwriters Guild, I've won Addy Awards for jingles I've written and recorded, I've been voted "Male Vocalist of the Year", and the one I'm proudest of is being voted "Entertainer of the Year".

My entertainment credentials speak for themselves, and I want to teach you the things I had to learn the hard way!
