Hi, my name is Tatiana Ambrose and I am a Creative Artist and Online Instructor. I have been making online videos since 2009 and joined Skillshare May 2016. I have loved the community that makes up Skillshare. Skillshare is overall an online community geared towards your creativity and learning different crafts but if you take a closer look you can see how in 2017 Skillshare has expanded to 15k + classes and 2 million + students.

Most teachers on Skillshare are also students and that is the best of both worlds when it comes to Skillshare. In this class, I want to take my classes a different direction and specifically talk to all my creative people on Skillshare to encourage you to publish your first class on Skillshare.

If you are nervous, hesitant and still unsure about publishing your first class on Skillshare you are feeling exactly what every new teacher feels when it comes to their first class. In this class I will discuss with you:

  • What is holding you back from publishing your first class on Skillshare
  • How to plan ahead but not so much you get stuck in planning mode
  • Why all the creative people on Skillshare should start teaching this month
  • What your first creative class idea should and shouldn't be geared towards
  • How the 2017 payment model affects new Skillshare teachers
  • How to get a guaranteed payment from Skillshare the following month after publishing your first class
  • The most frequently asked questions I have received from my students so you won't have to be confused or left guessing on the Skillshare platform

Are you starting to record your class but can't get the lighting right or the audio doesn't sound clear? Maybe you already have a couple classes on Skillshare but want to improve the lighting or audio aspect of your future classes?

This class will help you do just that! I had a very long learning curve when it came to the proper audio and lighting for my video and now want to share not only what equipment I use for my class but also give you comparisons so you can decide for yourself what you want your next class to look and sound like.

I do not have the top of the top professional, super expensive equipment, I would say it is average priced but I am very happy with my setup at the moment. I want you to learn from this class and decide for yourself what equipment you want to test out or what equipment you like. All of this equipment is Udemy approved as well!

I will also be zooming into specifics of Skillshare class creation where we will talk about the purpose of video editing software, if thumbnail images are important, my favorite places where I search for free photos and the basic steps to having a good introductory video.

Maybe you have published your first class but aren't getting student enrollments like you had hoped? We will take a look at your introductory video in this course and see if anything can be tweaked to increase student enrollment plus have some free resources at your disposal in case you ever need them.

Your class doesn't do any good by simply sitting and not getting any enrollments nor student engagement in your class. I will cover some of the reason why your class may not be getting enrollments as well as some things to keep in mind and different ways to tweak your first class to set it up for success and get your first PayPal deposit from Skillshare.

If you don't have your first class published on Skillshare or you want additional insight into what you can do to improve your Skillshare class presence then I highly encourage you to enroll in this Creatives Teaching On Skillshare course with me as I go through each key point that may be holding you back and hopefully encourage you to start creating your very first Skillshare class today.

I understand the struggle of starting out on a new platform and trying to build an online presence, that is why I created this course. Let me share my experience with you, learn from a Skillshare teacher that receives a monthly payout from Skillshare, teaches over 1900 students (you do not need to have a HUGE number of students to start getting paid!) with 45 classes published on Skillshare!

>>> If you're still on the fence, I highly encourage you to enroll in this class because Udemy has a 30 day money back guarantee so you have nothing to lose!

>>>Don't delay your creative skills another day, start getting paid for it!

Stay Creative,

Tatiana Ambrose

Creative Artist, Instructor & Dog Enthusiast

My name is Tatiana Ambrose, and my world revolves around creativity and creative thought. I have a BFA degree in Creative Writing and find myself drawn to the questions most creative enthusiasts are drawn to: how to generate new ideas, and how to stand out from the crowd as I do it.

For ten years, I have contemplated these two questions, almost exclusively, during my creative work (academic work as well as personal). My creativity expresses itself through writing, still life drawing with various art media, paper art, painting, acrylic, rock art, ceramics, sewing, jewelry, pastels and multimedia work. Abstract art has always been my favorite; it is through that medium that my creativity can really soar.

In 2009, during my college years, I began a YouTube channel focusing on upcycling pop tabs and creating tutorials encouraging others to follow along. These videos are still some of the most popular videos on my channel with almost 5 million total views.

My channel has evolved from crafts to now focus more on me, creativity and my lifestyle, with the occasional videos of my three dogs, Ares, Athena and Romeo. I have grown up with dogs and been working professionally with dogs since I was a teenager. From all natural dog food stores to dog grooming, dog training and even dedicated three years at a veterinary clinic. My passion for dogs is almost a tie with my love of creativity.

Yet just as my channel has evolved, so has my thinking about creativity. I now see it as a way to give life to anything I encounter as struggling to be beautiful, exciting, or different from the crowd. Creativity has a use in our everyday lives, if we just relax and allow our thoughts to escape the box we try to force them into.

Your journey of creativity is individual to you, and I hope I get to know you through that journey, regardless of where it takes you or how you choose to use it.
