Hi, I’m Zuzka (formally Zuzana), and I’ll be your guide on this journey into the Czech language and culture.

I have over 16 years of experience teaching languages, including Czech (my mother tongue), English, and Spanish. Teaching languages is not just my profession — it’s something I genuinely love, and I bring that enthusiasm, patience, and positive energy into every lesson.

As a language learner myself, I know how challenging it can feel to start learning a new language — especially one like Czech. That’s why I focus on clear explanations, step-by-step progress, and a supportive learning environment. I never forget what it’s like to be a beginner, and I make sure my students feel encouraged, not overwhelmed.

I hold a BA degree in Language Teaching (English and Spanish) and have completed a specialized course at Charles University in Prague on teaching Czech to foreigners. I’ve taught both individuals and groups, learners of all ages, and students from many different cultural backgrounds.

For the past 11 years, I’ve been teaching primarily online via Skype, Teams, and Zoom, working with students from all over the world. Five years ago, I also launched my YouTube channel, “Czech by Zuzka,” where I publish educational videos regularly and share additional learning resources such as e-books.
