My name is Dr. Zein Baalbaki, a former Associate Professor of Chemistry at the Lebanese University. Over the past 35 years, I have had the privilege of teaching general and organic chemistry courses to first-year students at the Faculty of Public Health.

During my teaching career at the Lebanese University, I have always occupied administrative positions at the Faculty of Public Health. Recently, I have established the Nutrition and Dietetics department at the faculty. My administrative and my teaching experience allowed me to develop my skills in dealing with professors, students, employees, and all university staff.

In the past years, I have developed a new teaching technique based on Animated PowerPoint for General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry courses. Among the subjects taught using animated PPT presentations: the movement of molecules and particles in a chemical reaction, electronic structure of atoms, the periodic table, reaction mechanism and other related subjects in general chemistry and organic chemistry. The implemented teaching approach has considerably added to students’ knowledge. Additionally, it created an attractive and pleasant classroom atmosphere.
