Zachary Reece

Hey! I'm Zachary Reece, and I've been coding since I started building basic websites with HTML at 9 years old. I've always had a deep passion and an innate, insatiable curiosity for computers. Over the last 4 years I've been working as a Senior React Developer building web applications for small local companies, billion-dollar corporations, and everything in between. I truly love what I do and am so excited to share it with you all.

Throughout that time I've specialized in the React component library MUI (Material-UI) developing a deep understanding of how the components work from the very basics of each individual component to all the considerations of integrating the components into an entire production application. My first course on MUI has taught over 20,000 students all over the world, helped them start new careers, and was even featured on the official MUI documentation. The course was so popular that I was invited to speak about MUI at React conferences hosted by Geekle in April 2021 and November 2023. I even fixed a real bug in MUI's open source code myself! I've gone from an MUI user to an MUI instructor to an MUI contributor, and now I'm here to share every tip, trick, and secret that I've learned - with you.

I believe in starting with fundamentals and building up conceptual frameworks that can then be applied to practical examples and real-world scenarios.
