Yossi Aharon isa musician and virtuoso Greek bouzouki player from Israel. He began his musical education at age of 3 and learned to play on bouzouki, guitar, oud, violin and piano. He showed talent and loved to play classical melodies of popular composers.
During a visit in Greece, he master to learn to play the bouzouki. He was influenced by Greek culture and developed a deep affinity for Greek music and Rebetiko. In Israel, he began teaching the instrument. In 2009 he published the book “Kessem Ha'bouzouki" (“The Magic of Bouzouki"), a comprehensive Greek bouzouki method book in Hebrew include Greek musical scales.
His great passion for Greek music and constant visits to Greece caused him to abandon his profession to spend his time in music. In August 2012, he released the album “Melodies From The Heart", a Greek bouzouki instrumentals album.
Today, Yossi Aharon is considered one of the best bouzouki players in Israel and has gained appreciation abroad. He belongs to the old generation of musicians who performing the initial improvisation "Taximi" in inspiration of the moment. Multi-instrumentalist who play professionally in several musical instruments include Greek bouzouki, guitar, oriental keyboard and oud.
