Satya Greenstone has been a student of Sri Swami Satchidananda and teacher of Yoga for forty-six years. She shares the teachings of Yoga in many diverse settings with students of all ages and backgrounds. She combines a natural, practical, down to earth approach to yoga with a gentle humor. First and foremost she is a yogini, and her teaching is an extension of the experience gained from her yoga practice.
She is a primary teacher for the Basic and Intermediate level Integral Yoga Teacher Training Programs at Satchidananda Ashram-Yogaville, Virginia. While serving as Teacher Training Coordinator, she helped develop and teach the Gentle Yoga Teacher Training Program which she has refined into Adaptive Yoga Teacher Training.
Satya is certified in yoga therapy and Therapeutic/Restorative Yoga. She has been practicing and teaching Restorative Yoga for over 15 years. In 2011, she developed and taught the first Integral Yoga Restorative Yoga Teacher Training Certification Course which she continues to offer annually. She gently adapts the Yoga practices to individual needs and always finds a way to encourage and inspire her students.
