Yesim Kunter is a globally recognised Play Expert, Futurist, and Creative Play Leader with over 25 years of experience exploring how children play, learn, imagine, and express creativity. She specialises in the Future of Play, child-centred innovation, playful learning, and the ethical questions surrounding children and emerging technologies.
Her futurist work began at Hasbro, where she researched how play and learning could evolve 10–15 years ahead. She has since developed this expertise through her independent consultancy, Play to Innovate®, helping organisations across the toy, education, media, and innovation sectors anticipate change in children’s play, behaviour, and learning. Her work includes future-focused projects connected to LEGO, Playmobil, MIT, and Qubs.
Yesim has collaborated with MIT on research into AI and its impact on children’s play, behaviour, relationships, and ethics. She is currently working hands-on with Qubs on a new screen-free play style, observing and testing play experiences directly with children, parents, and educators. Her courses help parents, educators, and innovators understand how creativity, play, and thoughtful technology can support children’s imagination, wellbeing, and future development.
