My life went through a dramatic change when I tore through layers of my Aorta from my heart to my leg. During this process I went through a profound life changing experience that I am extremely grateful. It stripped away everything except for the things that truly mattered. When I woke up after 9 hrs of open heart surgery and having a segment of Aorta replaced with an artificial one, I was never the same. My family members and friends said I'd instantly changed when I woke up from sedation. My thoughts and views were completely different but were relieved my laugh was still the same.
I love humanity, I love all living things and am deeply grateful for every day and breath I get to enjoy.
